The rubberized finish keeps it from sliding off my desk, which is more than I can say for any sharpener I've owned. The German steel blades cut through pencils cleanly, and that long point actually holds up for a solid writing session.

The two-step sharpening process is genius—it really does create a sturdy, long point that doesn't snap. The German steel blades feel incredibly precise and haven't dulled at all after weeks of use.
